GDPR Compliant
The General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) is an EU privacy law that came into effect on 25 May 2018. It introduced stricter rules on what organisations can do with your data and expanded your rights to access and control how your personal information is used. Whistleblow Compliant
In 2019, the European Parliament published a new directive, known as the EU Whistleblowing Directive or EU Directive 2019/1937. Article 8 of the directive states that Member States must require legal entities in both the public and private sectors to establish reporting channels - a whistleblowing hotline - and mechanisms for follow-up. These mechanisms can be managed internally by a company employee or department, or externally by a third-party provider such as MELP.

MELP hosts data using one of the world’s most reliable and secure cloud services - Amazon Web Services (AWS). Amazon’s data centres meet the highest security standards, with multiple layers of physical and operational protection. AWS is designed to satisfy the data security requirements of privacy-sensitive organisations.
2FA authentication
As an additional security layer to reduce the risk of fraud, data breaches, and identity loss, MELP uses two-factor authentication (2FA), provided by Amazon Cognito. Amazon Cognito complies with HIPAA, PCI DSS, SOC, ISO/IEC 27001, ISO/IEC 27017, ISO/IEC 27018, and ISO 9001 standards.

Reliability
We have designed our infrastructure to be highly available and fault-tolerant. To achieve this, we apply industry best practices, including the AWS Well-Architected Framework.
Infrastructure
AWS resources are configured in accordance with the CIS AWS Foundations Benchmark.
Data centers
Our server infrastructure is hosted across multiple Amazon Web Services (AWS) data centres in the Dublin region, Ireland.
Isolated environments
Our production environment is fully separated from the environments used for development and testing — we operate it under a separate AWS account.
Backups
Cross-account and cross-region automated backup policies are in place to ensure customer data is backed up across multiple AWS accounts and regions within the EU (Ireland and Germany).
Networking
The network is isolated from external access. Administrative access is only possible via an encrypted connection and is limited to authorised personnel.
Employee access
Access for engineering personnel and software components is managed according to the principle of least privilege, with tight security groups and IAM policies.
System monitoring and alerting

How can I protect my MELP account?
Keep your password secret. None of your colleagues should know your login details.
Enter your login information only on the official MELP website. If you’re unsure, visit melp.com directly to stay safe.
MELP will never ask for personal information - do not respond to any suspicious requests
.Make sure your computer and browser are protected with up-to-date antivirus software.
Does MELP provide two-factor authentication?
Yes, we do. Two-factor authentication is required by default on both an organisation account and a Mobile application.
How to change my password?
To change your password:
1. At the upper right corner next to your account name click the arrow to expand Settings
2. Click “Change password”
3. Enter your old password and set up a new password
4. Submit changes
I am an employee: how to log in and log out MELP mobile application?
To log in to the MELP app:
1. Go to Google Play or Apple Store and download MELP.com application.
2. Install the Application to your smartphone and open it

1. Click 'More'
2. Choose to ‘Log out’

I cannot log in to my MELP account, what should I do?
1. Check your credentials
2. Be sure you are using the correct username and password. If you are not sure about your username, please contact your HR manager.
3. Reset your password: On the login page, you can find a link to reset your password. You have to enter your username (email address) and we will send you instructions on how to reset your password.
I am an HR manager: how to log in and log out my organisation’s account?
To log in to your organization account:
1. Go to melp.com/login
2. Choose login type and follow the instructions
3. Click the button to log inIf you forgot your password, you may reset or change your password: Click to reset your password.
To log out of your organisation account:
1. At the upper right corner next to your account name click the arrow to expand Settings
2. Choose to log out button
